Gorgeous Goyard, Couture in the City Fashion Blog

I was at Harvey Nichols today picking up some stuff when I decided to drop by Goyard. Goyard isn't a brand I'm ever interested in as their chevron monogram, I found, was too overwhelming. Also, they don't seem to do anything that didn't have the monogram slapped all over it. But I was pleasently surprised at the quality of their bags and have decided that in addition to Valextra duffel bags and Marc Newson for Samsonite pullcases, the only way to travel is with a giant Goyard travel bag. This bag is available from Barneys for $1,690

I totally agree with you on Goyard...magazine editors love the brand! I can't get myself to buy one...yet.

Editors are beyond obsessed with Goyrad. I saw more Goyard at NY fashion week than any other bag. We did a whole write-up about it. See http://www.bagtrends.com/topthreetrends.htm.

At lot of it has to due with history and quality - which is quite fabulous. I mean if it was good enough for the tsars ...

Also in orange or light blue, the chevron pattern isn't as overwhelming.

Do check out their trunks - uber pricy but total luxury. :)
